Solar tracker and mounting system manufacturer ARRAY Technologies opened a $50 million manufacturing facility in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

This 216,000-square-foot facility is approximately three times the size of ARRAY's previous Albuquerque facility, expanding its domestic manufacturing capacity and supporting around 300 production, assembly, design, engineering, customer service, and other functional positions.

Established in Albuquerque over 35 years ago, ARRAY has grown from its roots in New Mexico into a global solar technology distributor, deploying over 100 gigawatts of trackers worldwide.  .

The new factory is built around lean manufacturing principles, enabling ARRAY to internalize the production of components that were historically sourced from external suppliers. Several parts manufactured at this facility qualify for the Advanced Manufacturing Production Tax Credit under Section 45X.

The school will also expand vocational opportunities in skilled manufacturing in the Albuquerque area, including positions such as stamping machine operators, mold and die technicians, and process engineers.

The facility is supported through a public-private partnership, including $2.5 million from the New Mexico Local Economic Development Act (LEDA) Job Creation Fund, $250,000 in LEDA funds each from the City of Albuquerque and Bernalillo County, along with partial property tax exemptions obtained via industrial revenue bonds. This LEED-certified building is designed to meet ARRAY's current manufacturing needs while providing capacity for future growth in the company's broader product portfolio.
